New art sculpture inspired by “Women of the Wall” (Nashot HaKotel)

Made for Israeli Matkot exhibition in Madrid
As part of an ongoing exhibition called, “Matkot, As Israeli as it gets”, I was asked to make an art piece for the upcoming exhibition in Madrid.
I have been working on a series of photographs which question my connection to Jewish rituals and ritualistic objects.
After hearing the story of a group of women WOW (Women of Wall) who were arrested for praying at the Kotel wearing a Tallit, I decided to make this specific piece.
